Few people had more formative influence in my spiritual growth than Chuck Swindoll. Growing up, I remember listening to his international half-hour radio broadcast Insights for Living. As a teenager, I remember reading his books inherited by my parents, including Paul: A Man of Grace and Grit, Man to Man, and Elijah: A Man of Heroism and Humility. In 2009, Chuck was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at Catalyst 09 who offered the following leadership lessons he has learned in his 50 years of ministry: 1. It’s lonely to lead. 2.
